Background

UNICEF, together with ILO, UN Women, and UNODC, and with funding from the European Union (EU), is implementing a three-year (2024–2026) regional inter-agency project titled Ensuring Decent Work and Reducing Vulnerabilities for Women and Children in the Context of Labour Migration in Southeast Asia, referred to as PROTECT(Protection of the Rights of Women and Children in Labour Migration). The project addresses legal, policy, and institutional gaps and barriers faced by migrant children, ensuring that child protection systems are inclusive of all children within their respective territories. UNICEF and World Vision International, together with other partners, are committed to making sure children and youth voices are heard and counted. That’s why we are launching an online survey for children and youth ages 12–24, as well as a Migration Learning Series.

Share Your Stories Through Art: Migration Through Your Eyes

These paintings were created by children and youth during the Young Minds CAMP (Child-led Actions, Mobilizations and Partnerships) in Bangkok (June 2025). Their artworks show real experiences of migration—stories of courage, memories from home, challenges they faced, and hopes for a safer, kinder world.

Now, we invite YOU to share your own voice in any way you choose - through a painting, drawing, photo, poem, short essay, or any creative piece that expresses your story or feelings about migration.

You can include: Your nickname, age and country. This space is for children and youth to express their lived experiences, feelings, and dreams about migration. Your story matters — and we want to help you share it.
